- Aleene's Industrial Strength Glue Sticks
- Wood boards - cut to desired size and shape
- Wood stain in desired color
- Soft cloth for staining wood
- Clamps
If needed, cut wood pieces to desired size and shape. Lightly sand then use a soft cloth to apply wood stain according to stain instructions. Let dry completely.
Apply a layer of glue from the Industrial Strength Glue Stick onto base pieces according to glue instructions.
Firmly press pieces together.
Use a clamp to hold the wood pieces firmly in place while the glue sets.
Continue building bookends by applying glue to next section.
Clamp as needed and let bookends dry completely for time recommended in glue instructions.
