DIY Fall Décor Signs

Can you believe it’s almost fall?! We are sooooo looking forward to the change in seasons, all things pumpkin and of course, the décor! These DIY fall décor signs from Craft Box Girls are the perfect way to add some autumn ambiance to your home, and they’re easy to make with Aleene’s Premium Decoupage. Read on for the tutorial and get inspired to get into the spirit of fall!

What you need:

- Aleene’s Premium Decoupage in Matte and Glossy

Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue

- Wood signs

- Wood mason jar shaped signs

- Decorative papers

- Pre-cut letters

- Paper plate or palette for Decoupage

- Foam brushes

- Scissors

- Faux fall flowers

- Ribbon

Step 1

Cut out lettering using a cutting machine

Get prepped for your fall sign project by using a cutting machine to create lettering. You can create your own fall-themed wording or use the same wording the Craft Box Girls used.

Step 2

Glue decorative papers to signs

Cut decorative papers to fit inside your wood sign and on top of your mason jar sign. Spread an even coat of Decoupage onto each surface using a foam brush, then press and smooth the papers in place.

Step 3

Glue lettering onto signs and seal

Working on one sign at a time, brush a layer of Decoupage over the top of the decorative paper, then press the lettering into place where desired. Gently pounce more Decoupage over the top of the lettering to seal. Let dry.

Step 4

Glue mason jar sign to larger sign

Glue the mason jar sign to the end of the larger framed sign with Tacky Glue. Or you can glue it within the larger sign. Get creative with it!

Step 5

Glue ribbons and flowers to signs

Tie your ribbon into bows and use Tacky Glue to glue the bows onto your signs at the mason jar “lid” or where desired. Glue fall flowers and other fall accessories to your signs where ever you like, then let everything dry completely before placing on display.
