  • Sandpaper
  • Cotton swab or paintbrush (optional)

  • Step 1 Supplies for upcycled shoes

Gather the supplies for this upcycled shoe project and make sure your leather boots are nice and clean. Use a soft-bristled brush to remove any dirt and debris from the shoes.

Step 2 Apply glue to back of embellishments

Apply the leather glue to the back of your embellishments directly from the bottle, or using a cotton swab or paintbrush for more even application. For an even stronger bond, roughen the surface of the leather with sandpaper before gluing the embellishments.

Step 3 Secure embellishments onto leather boots

Cracks or scuffs on your shoes? No need to worry! For these upcycled shoes, were covering any unsightly marks with sparkling star embellishments. Place the stars onto your boots in the desired location, and apply ample pressure to glue them into place. Be sure to press down on each tip of the stars to secure these sparkling embellishments!
