Looking to limit screen time while keeping the kids indoors this winter? Keep everyone entertained for hours with homemade tabletop games! This tutorial from Craft Box Girls shows how easy it is to use Aleene’s Clear Casting & Coating Epoxy Resin Kit to create your own tic tac toe board and dominoes. You’ll love making these resin games as much as you’ll love playing with them!
Be sure to read the included safety precautions and step-by-step instructions included in the Aleene’s Clear Casting & Coating Epoxy Resin Kit before getting started on this project. Wearing your protective safety gear, measure a 1:1 ratio of hardener and resin into separate plastic cups.
Combine the two into a separate plastic cup, and mix with a wooden stir stick for 3 to 5 minutes.
Pour the epoxy mixture into separate smaller cups. Add your desired mix-ins and stir until well combined.
Once your epoxy mixtures are prepared, carefully pour them into the silicone molds.
Use a heat gun to remove bubbles from your epoxy projects before they set. Then allow the game pieces to cure at room temperature for 24 to 48 hours or until fully hardened.
Once the epoxy has fully cured, remove the game pieces from their molds. Optionally, you can color in the dots on your domino pieces with a white paint marker to make them more visible. Now your game pieces are ready to use!
