- Paper plate
- Yellow cardstock
- Buttons in rainbow colors
- Twill ribbon
- Acrylic paint – yellow
- Foam brush
- Permanent marker
- Googly eyes
For this easy paper craft for kids, have the kids start by sorting the buttons into the same color families.
Cut strands of twill ribbon to whatever length the kids would like for their sun, then glue various buttons of the same color family down the length of each ribbon and let dry.
Use a foam brush and yellow acrylic paint to paint the back side of the paper plate yellow. Once it’s dry, cut the plate in half.
Next cut triangles from the yellow cardstock and glue around the top rim of the painted plate.
Glue the ribbon strands with buttons to the base of the plate. Let dry completely.
To finish this easy paper craft for kids, glue googly eyes onto the sun and use a marker to draw a smile below the eyes. Glue a button on each side of the smile to create dimples.
And that’s it! Hang this sun and rainbow easy paper craft for kids in a place where it can spread sunshine and cheer every time they see it! What kids’ crafts is your family making with Aleene’s Glues? Tag us on social @aleenesdiy and share with us!
