Get organized in the easiest way with Aleene’s DIY Craft Super Glue! This quick tutorial from Love Your Abodeshows you how to glue metal to metal by pairing cabinet knobs with jar lids for a cute set of containers that will come in handy for storing bathroom supplies, kitchen goods and more.
- Aleene’s DIY Craft Super Glue Gel
- Drinking jars/mason jars with lids
- Metal cabinet knobs
- Spray paint
Step 1
Cabinet knobs are perfect for this super easy project! You can use fixtures you already have, or snag some at a hardware store or online. If they’re not already the color you like or need to go with your theme, spray paint can fix that!
Step 2
If the knobs still have screws attached, they’ll make great stands while spray painting. Poke them through a piece of cardboard like Love Your Abode and you’re ready to paint. Make sure the knobs are clean and free of prints and dust before spray painting. Then let everything dry and cure completely before moving on to the next step.
Step 3
Before gluing the knobs onto the jar lids, make sure the lids are also clean and free from dust or anything that could affect the glue. Then add a thin line of DIY Craft Super Glue around the underside of each knob and press into place on the center of each lid.
Step 4
Let the lids dry for the time recommended on your packaging instructions. Double check that everything is set and strongly in place before attaching the lids to your jars.
Step 5
And that’s it! Such an easy way to add some stylish organization to any space. Plus, jars like this will help keep supplies like bathroom items easy to access while remaining sanitary. You can dupe this same storage project for school supplies, kitchen goods and so much MORE. What will you make with Aleene’s DIY Craft Super Glue? Tag us on social using #aleenesdiy and let us know!
