How To Make Paper Plate Flowers for Kids

These paper plate flowers are fun for little hands to create but they make a BIG impact on the wall or in a vase. 

What you need:

Add a dollop of Tulip Soft Fabric Paint to each paper plate.

Paint at each paper plate with Tulip Soft Fabric Paint.

Paint at least 3 paper plates with each color of Tulip Soft Fabric Paint. It's okay if the paint job is messy and imperfect.

Fold a paper plate in quarters. Cut lines from the outside edge to about 1" from the center of the plate. Snip a hole in the middle of the plate. Unfold.

Loop one end of a wire flower stem and insert through the hole in the middle of the paper plate flower. Twist to make the loop.

Flatten the wire circle in the middle of the flower. Scrunch the petals of the flower.

Cut a paper plate into a spiral shape.

Loop a piece of floral wire around the pointy end of the spiral (outside) and start rolling the paper plate around to form a flower.

Add a dab of Aleene's Fast Grab Tacky Glue behind the flower to hold it all together.

Glue poms poms to the middle of each flower with Aleene's Fast Grab Tacky Glue.

Fold a paper plate in quarters. Snip the corner with scissors to make a hole in the middle of the plate.

Fold the paper plate in half. Cut petal shapes around the middle.
