Last Minute Costume DIY: Cat Ears

Sure, every now and then we’re into a super scary costume, but sometimes we just want to be cute for Halloween! This last-minute costume DIY from Mikyla Creates puts a sweet twist on a traditional cat ears costume by incorporating flowers into the look. You can make your cat ears in the morning and have them ready to wear in the evening with a little help from Aleene’s Fabric Fusion. Read on for the tutorial!

What you need:

Aleene’s Fabric Fusion 4 oz.

- Cat ears headband

- Faux flowers of choice

Step 1

Cat ears costume supplies

This last-minute costume DIY only requires a few supplies for a seriously cute result! Let’s get started right MEOW!

Step 2

Spray paint cat ears

Working in a well-ventilated area, spray several light coats of spray paint onto your cat ears headband, letting dry between coats. Let dry completely before decorating.

Step 3

Cut flowers from stems

Cut flowers of various sizes from your faux greenery, removing the stems entirely. Cut a few leaves as well.

Step 4

Glue flowers onto headband

Use Fabric Fusion to glue clusters of flowers onto the headband. Mix various sizes and glue the flowers all the way around the headband.

Step 5

Glue on accent leaves

Glue a few accent leaves to your liking within some of the flower clusters. Let everything dry completely before wearing.

Step 6

Cat ears last-minute costume DIY
