New Year Vision Board with DIY Glue Dots

New Year, New You! Stay inspired in 2022 with this custom vision board DIY from Mikyla Creates. The best part? DIY glue dots made from Aleene’s Tack-It Over & Over! These glue dots are easy to make and easy to use, which makes them perfect for customizing a vision board that suits your goals and aspirations.

What you need:

  •        Aleene’s Tack-It Over & Over
  •        11' x 11' wood board
  •        White acrylic paint
  •        Paintbrush
  •        Painter’s tape
  •        Wax paper
  •        Scissors
  •        Drill (optional)
  •        Twine and beads (optional)

Step 1

Paint half of the board with white acrylic paint.

To create the board, apply painter’s tape diagonally to wooden board. Paint half of board with white acrylic paint, allow to dry completely and carefully remove the painter’s tape.

Step 2

Cut out printed visuals

Cut out the visuals of what you want on your vision board—this can be anything that inspires you! Follow online templates for a polished and coordinated look, or clip your favorite visuals from books, magazines, photos, and more.

Step 3 (optional)

Drill holes and create the hanging fixture, if desired

If you want to hang your vision board on a wall, measure and mark an inch from the edges of the board, then create holes with a drill. Run twine through each hole, then measure and cut for the desired hanging length. String the twine with beads of your choice.

Step 4

Create glue dots with Aleene’s Tack-It Over & Over

To create glue dots, squeeze dots of Aleene’s Tack-It Over & Over onto wax paper. Allow the adhesive to dry completely, then they’re ready for use!

Step 5

Use DIY glue dots to place visuals onto your board

To use the glue dots, just peel them off the wax paper and place onto the back of your visuals. Fill out your visuals with goals and wishes for the upcoming year, and then stick them onto your vision board with your DIY glue dots. You can move and adjust them as needed, thanks to Aleene’s Tack-It Over & Over!
