Paper Leaf Chandelier Tutorial

There’s so much to appreciate about the natural beauty that wintertime and snowy wonderlands can bring – its no wonder that all the stories about this season talk so much of magic! While frostbite may not be welcome indoors, there’s no better way to bring the natural beauty of the winter season to your home than through this stunning paper chandelier project created by Lia Griffith! Utilizing Aleene’s effortless Instant Tacky Glue Dots, it’s never been easier to create your own wonderland. 

What you need:

Aleene’s Instant Tacky Glue Dots 

- Leaf templates (download from this post)

- Curling tool

- Crafting scissors 

- Cricut Explore Air 2 

- Text weight paper – colors of your choice!

- Wood embroidery hoops 

- 26-Gauge Floral Bind Wire

- Cotton string

 

Aleene's Paper Leaf Chandelier

  1. Make sure you have all needed materials, including these downloadable patterns for the leaves.
  2. Lay two pieces of binding wire across the embroidery hoop in an “x” shape then wrap each end of the wire around the hoop to secure.
  3. Tie a piece of string at the center of the crossing wires for hanging purposes.
  4. Cut your paper according to the templates using either scissors or a cutting machine.
  5. Use your curling tool to curl the paper leaves.
  6. Finally, attach your paper leaves to embroidery hoop using Aleene’s instant tacky adhesive dots!
