Bunnies aren't just cute during the spring ... we think they're adorable all year round! The great thing about this kids' craft is that it can easily be modified to create other types of animals using the body shape taught in this tutorial and cutting out ears and paws to match whatever furry friend the kids are making. All you need are a few basic supplies like nontoxic Aleene's Tacky Glue, paper plates and some googly eyes to get started.
- Aleene's Original Tacky Glue
- Paper plates - 1 per animal
- Acrylic paint - desired colors
- Paintbrushes
- Googly eyes, pompoms and other desired embellishments
- Scissors
Paint paper plates with desired colors of acrylic paint and let dry. Cut each plate in half.
Roll one half of plate into a cone shape and glue ends together with Tacky Glue. Fold over the top of cone shape to the backside to flatten and glue in place with Tacky Glue.
Cut ears, feet and whiskers from other half of painted paper plate and glue in place. Glue on googly eyes and pompoms for nose and tail and let dry completely.
How cute is this bunny?! Remember, this technique can be modified to create any cute little critter the kiddos feel like making, so get creative and have fun with it!
