Backpack mixups can happen all of the time at school, between switching classrooms (for older kids), field trips, activities and more, especially when the bag designs are the same. The good news is, you can easily personalize your child's backpack with just a few supplies - for a result that stands out - and looks pretty too! Aleene's® Foiling Glue works on all kinds of surfaces and is super easy to use with stencils and applying with brushes. Purchase or create your own stencil and grab some Deco foil, and your child will have a shiny new personalized backpack to show off at school!
- Name stencil
- Deco foil
Personalizing a backpack with Foiling Glue only requires two extra supplies! Create or purchase the name stencil, grab some Deco Foil in the color of your choice, and you're ready to get this project started. (If you'd rather freehand the name, that's completely fine too - skip the stencil!)
Place the stencil where desired on the backpack.
Fill in the letter openings with a generous amount of Foiling Glue. Let it dry (leaving the stencil in place).
Once the glue has dried, carefully peel off the stencil.
The glue will appear clear when dry.
Press the Deco Foil in place over the top of the dried glue and smooth.
Remove Deco Foil to reveal the newly foiled name.
How easy was that?! Just a few steps with Foiling Glue for a fab creation.
This cute personalized backpack is sure to put a smile on your little one's face! Try this technique on all kinds of other projects for quick and easy results.
